Packing...and waiting...

I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July!
Today has been spent packing...then resting a bit...then packing...and repeating. I thought I was somehwat prepared for all I think I need to take to Chicago. When I began actually putting things in bags and totes and suitcases, I realized that everything may not fit into my parents' vehicle if the three of us, plus my parents' belongings, want to fit as well. That will be a problem to figure out tomorrow!
As of this moment, 5:30 pm. on Sunday, July 5th, I have not received any word from Northwestern regarding the transplant. I think a few factors are to "blame" for this. First of all, my biopsy was completed about as late as possible on Tuesday afternoon. Results may not have even begun being examined until sometime on Wednesday. I'm not even sure that can take place "in-house" or if my specimens must be sent somewhere else - which would cause further delay. I'm also thinking the holiday weekend may have slowed down progress - perhaps there was no progress on Friday. There has also been no information related to my biopsy added to my Northwestern My Chart.
My hope is that the results are accessible to the people who need to know tomorrow (Monday) morning. I am planning to send an early morning email to my transplant coordinator so she can hopefully find out as soon as possible. My parents and I are planning to leave around 1 pm for Chicago, so the sooner we get communication, the better.
Overall, I pray no new is good news, and that if something potentially serious had been discovered in my biopsy, I would've heard about it already. (For my previous biopsies, there was enough information available a week later to draw conclusions about the state of my disease.)
If everything goes as planned, then I likely won't post an update for a couple of days simply because I will be staying overnight in a hotel with my parents tomorrow night, then getting admitted to the hospital early Tuesday morning. If there is a delay in the transplant schedule, then you'll likely hear from me sooner!
If you haven't read my update "Transplant Details" I encourage you to click on the title/link and read all about what is scheduled to happen and when!
Thanks, everyone, for your concern, love, support, and prayers!
