Clarification and Prayer Requests

This morning I discovered that some of the information I reported yesterday was a bit incorrect! My neutrophils did increase from Monday to yesterday; however, the increase wasn't as great as I shared. The PA who shared my numbers did so using total neutrophils per unit, which was 800. However, the numbers are typically recorded on a chart in my room based on dividing that total number by 1000. So, the accurate number for Wednesday's neutrophils is 0.8 - which is still eight times greater than two days prior! Today, my neutrophils are 0.9 - as you can see, the numbers continue to rise! And, a potential discharge date has been mentioned...but I'm not releasing that in the event I need to be cautious and take more time before going home. My numbers are certainly moving towards that, but the mucositis is still very painful, especially when I swallow, and so that issue must get better before discharge as well.

Prayer Requests

• Pray that I have relief soon from the pain in my throat.

• Pray that my blood count numbers continue to rise towards normal ranges.

• Pray that my body does not react when I am being weaned off of several drugs or when I transition back to oral meds.

• Pray that no other physical symptoms arise.

• Pray that if a discharge date is set, then I am able to follow through with discharge on that date.

• Pray for my family as we say goodbye to Grandma Phyllis.
